Is the Speech Tablets for Apraxia program right for you and your apraxia star? There are several eligibility factors including diagnosis, age, finances, etc. Please read the program eligibility requirements here before beginning your application.
In this program, qualified children with a diagnosis of childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) are provided with speech tablets and protective cases to use as a communication tool, to assist with speech practice, and/or for educational support.
This program offers iPads with a protective case to children in need across the United States and Canada. Eligible children must be between the ages of 2 ½ and 18 years of age, have an evaluation showing a diagnosis of childhood apraxia of speech or suspected childhood apraxia of speech, and the child’s family must be able to show a financial need. No apps are provided with the iPad as they should be recommended by your child’s speech-language pathologist to make sure you find the apps that best meet your child’s needs.
