Typically children with CAS or suspected CAS are seen at 2-3 times a week. I carefully select words based your child's current speech abilities and importance to your family. I work together with your child to say these words by having them watch my mouth, practice the word along with me, and practice the word during play activities. We are focusing on speech movements rather than specific speech sounds. My goal is to have your child practice each word many many times each session. After your child is successful with producing our target words we continuous monitor his/her speech and add new words and phrases. I want your child to enjoy coming to therapy while still getting lots of work done.
