Incorporating a child's unique interests into each and every session is a priority to me. I believe in choosing activities and materials that are exciting and important to them and framing our play-based session around that. All of my sessions are multi-modal, including use of any and all forms of their current communication and AAC, and multi-sensory, involving visual, auditory, and tactile cues.

I incorporate DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing) and the Principles of Motor Learning into target selection and session structure. I also like to work with the family to select "power words" or words that are very important to the child and additionally incorporate those into our selection of functional and appropriate session targets.
Most importantly, I like to meet a child where they are at, encouraging growth while also being receptive to their limits.
