Overall Treatment Approach:

My therapy sessions are play based with repetitive practice that most children do not realize is work. Building trust, rapport, and finding the right motivation for each kid makes my sessions unique to them. Children with CAS know that talking is hard, so my job is for them to get the practice and work done but still have fun and WANT to practice. All kiddos are different so I love finding what they love to play and incorporate therapy targets into their interests.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are always welcome in my sessions. I love teaching and helping parents be a part of their child's growth. Coming from an early intervention background I am 100% on board with coaching parents on strategies to practice therapy targets.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I am an advocate for AAC, both high tech as in iPads, down to low tech (signs, pictures). I have used all of them and know that one way or another these kiddos need a way to communicate. Based on the child's needs and the families need I am always happy to problem solve together to find the best AAC system.
