I use evidence based approach based on the principles of motor learning through the use of engaging and motivating age appropriate interactive activities to seek maximum responses of block and distributed practice. Each treatment plan is individualized based on a child's level of severity and results of dynamic motor speech exam. Plans have overlapping components of parental involvement and education, use of multi sensory cue hierarchy, progression and advancement through all phonotactic shapes with variegated vowel and consonant movement gestures, attention to vowel to vowel and consonant to consonant co articulation for development of varied prosody, focused attention, descriptive feedback, and maximum practice responses per target/session through block, random or modified distributed practice. Attention to all aspects of the targeted movement pattern is integral to progress to generalized intelligible conversational speech with natural/typical prosody.
