Therapy ranges from 15-30 minutes of direct 1-1 intervention two-three times per week with the child and family. A typical 30 minute visit will consist of review of previous session target words working from unsupported spontaneous assessment to providing multi-sensory input/cueing prompts that match the child's level of success. Repetitive practice of words with immediate to faded reinforcers provided in a creative playful environment. We utilize toys kids love and enjoy to motivate productions as we transition to & from "table time" (sit-down) activities to gross and fine motor activities. The intervals for transitions vary individually. A typically session will have transitions every 7-10 minutes includes repetitive practice during a daily routine rehearsal (eating, exercising), game time both board & electronic, oral motor speech sequencing posture practice/imitation silent/whispered and vocal intensity/prosody changes embedded in exciting new monthly themes like Ahoy Mattie! and Pretty Princess!
