After completing a speech-motor evaluation, target phonemes are identified through the System Analysis Observation, Speech Motor Hierarchy and Global Domain Evaluation. The child's physical-sensory development, cognitive linguistic development, social emotional development and behavioral development is all taken into account. After careful examination of all of these domains, initial treatment goals are formulated and the PROMPT technique is utilized to improve the child's overall communication abilities. The PROMPT technique utilizes four levels of prompts; Parameter, Syllable, Complex and Surface prompts.
