Overall Treatment Approach:

Therapy is child led including their interests. SLP will collaborate with family to identify target words that are meaningful to the individual and will improve their overall intelligibility. Session lengths vary upon child's participation and fatigue. SLP and parent will collaborate and communicate weekly.

Parent Involvement:

SLP and parent will collaborate to identify target words. Communication will be frequent and weekly. SLP may model and include family in therapy when appropriate in order to promote generalization of words/targets at home.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

AAC is extremely important for children with severe speech sound disorders. I incorporate a variety of AAC systems including sign language, low tech communication boards, and high-tech dynamic display communication devices.
