I believe in creating a warm and welcoming environment where the child feels comfortable, regulated, and motivated to build on their communication skills. Together the child, therapist, and parent/caregiver will work together using the DTTC method to improve the child's motor planning of speech when producing target words. The therapist and parent/caregiver will collaborate to choose functional words based on the child's phonetic and syllabic inventories to work towards improving their child's overall speech intelligibility. Parents will be provided with carryover activities, including appropriate level of cueing, to promote generalization of communication skills.
