With a child-led approach, I aim to build upon communication skills that the child has to build functional language. Parents and I will work as a team to build accuracy in sounds, syllables, and movement between sounds through varying cues of imitation within motivating activities and play. Parents will learn strategies to carry over outside of the clinical setting by being an active participant in therapy. The child will be supported for their sensory needs alongside a play-based approach. Targets will be determined in collaboration with the caregivers for functional and personalized communication.
