Speech therapy sessions are meant to be fun and functional. I want to be sure to meet the child where they are in the moment, support their interests and learning styles, all while empowering them to find their own unique voice. I use dynamic assessment and treatment approaches through a wide variety of techniques including structured activities, literacy, music and play to facilitate a well-rounded learning experience. My goal is to make sure the information I provide to the child and their families during each of the therapy sessions can be directly applied to use functionally within the natural environment. I believe that by providing a holistic, person-centered approach, success can happen the moment therapy begins.
