Overall Treatment Approach:

Our therapy focuses on maximum repetition and multi-sensory input for words and phrases selected for their increasingly difficult motor patterns and personal salience for the child. Our therapy is play oriented and child directed.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are a vital part of our therapeutic approach. When possible we have parents participate in some or all of each session. Specific time at the end of each session is set aside for questions and discussion.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I have used picture boards , Proloquo-2-Go and other communication devices, depending on the child's language levels to support pragmatic and syntactic development. Generally we use AAC to cover topics and content which are too complicated for the child's current ability to address orally, but which he/she is motivated to communicate about.
