Overall Treatment Approach:
Based on the child's mastered sounds, I work with them using multi-modal therapy techniques to acquire and master additional speech productions. Using DTTC and other evidence based techniques, I provide as much or as little prompting as needed for a child to be successful and ultimately independent.
Parent Involvement:
Parents can and should be directly involved in speech therapy sessions. They can be shown techniques and given mastered words to practice with their child at home.
AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:
AAC can be a great adjunct to verbal speech and particularly is valuable for those with severe CAS who are still very unintelligible.
