Hi there! Through evidence based and personalized speech therapy techniques, my aim is to enhance each child’s communication skills, uplift their confidence, and enrich their overall quality of life. My goal is not only to address speech challenges but to foster communicative confidence and joy. I am trained in DTTC and am competent in motor based principals of speech therapy. I prioritize children receiving the maximum amount of practice trails per session while also keeping them motivated and engaged.
As your child progresses through goals in therapy, home practice will be increasingly important. I provide free home resources to clients and always encourage parent participation and observation during sessions.
Use of AAC can be a good fit for many children to use in tandem with speech therapy. I typically work with parents as a team and decide what type of low or high tech system would be appropriate for the child based off of their progress in speech therapy and their lifestyle. Sometimes this looks like a laminated booklet with the child's unique key phrases and questions and other times an iPad application with more communicative options is a better fit.
