I follow the ‘Let’s Start Talking’ and ‘Let’s Talk Clearly’ programs developed by Dr. Megan Hodge at the University of Alberta. Both provide a framework for assessment and treatment of children with severe speech disorders, including childhood apraxia of speech and dysarthria. Treatment is tailored to the specific needs of each child and family. Other treatment approaches are used when appropriate (i.e. ReST, Speech Motor Chaining).
