05 Nov November Newsletter: A Season of Gratitude
Dear Friends,
November marks a time for gratitude, and we at Apraxia Kids cannot express just how grateful we are. From our dedicated Board of Directors, to our esteemed Professional Advisory Council, to our amazing volunteers across the country, we are surrounded by support. Together we are making a difference in the lives of children with apraxia of speech.
One of the core values of Apraxia Kids is a dedication to fostering community and there’s no better time to join our apraxia family than at a Walk for Apraxia event. So far, 59 communities have hosted a Walk for Apraxia, and 7 remain in the month of November. These communities join together to take a stand for children with CAS, and we couldn’t be more appreciative.
Our largest annual gathering of our worldwide apraxia community happens every summer at our National Conference. We are pleased to announce that the application for the 2020 National Conference scholarships is now open! This unique learning experience is unlike any other, and we are proud to offer the opportunity to attend to those families who need it most.
Whether you’ve been with Apraxia Kids for years, or if you just recently joined our community, thank you. Thank you for your unwavering support, your dedication to raising awareness, and your commitment to ensuring that all children with CAS are afforded their best opportunities to achieve functional speech.
With endless gratitude,
Angela Grimm
Executive Director
