As we continue to celebrate 25 years of Apraxia Kids, we realize how lucky we are to have such a great community supporting one another and our organization. We are so excited to kick off the month of March as we prepare for spring and share with you all of the great things we have been working on.

Preparations for Apraxia Awareness Month are now in full swing with May just two months away! Our theme this year is Creating Community Connections and we can’t wait to share ideas for you to connect with your friends, family, coworkers, and more to raise apraxia awareness! One way to help prepare for Apraxia Awareness Month is by filing for a proclamation for Apraxia Awareness Day (May 14th) in your state, province, city, and/or municipality. If you are interested in filing a proclamation, please fill out our brief survey and we will be in touch regarding next steps. Our 2025 Apraxia Awareness T-Shirt and yard sign are also now available for purchase in the Apraxia Kids store! Our store is filled with exclusive apparel and merchandise to help you show support for the Apraxia Star in your life throughout the year. 100% of the proceeds go directly towards helping our apraxia community!

As each of you prepare for Apraxia Awareness Month, we strongly encourage you to order your Be the Voice Kit by April 14th, if you are planning an awareness or fundraising event. Each kit can be tailored to your specific needs. Whether you are looking to raise awareness in your child’s classroom or host a fundraising event, we have you covered!

While you prepare for Awareness Month and are looking for ways to connect with your local community, we highly suggest joining our Facebook Support Groups, or even one of our new Live Zoom Support Groups. They are both excellent ways to ask questions, meet new friends, and stay up to date on all things related to apraxia of speech.

We are pleased to announce that registration for the 2025 National Conference will be opening next week offering an early bird discount for the month of March ONLY! An email with all of the registration details will be shared shortly so keep an eye on your inbox! Our priority is to provide this opportunity to as many people as possible. We are thrilled to open our National Conference to our international community by holding it virtually this year. Our conference will be fully interactive with many ways to connect with others around the world by asking questions, mingling, and learning together. Scholarship applications to attend the National Conference are still open. Our 2025 Walk for Apraxia season recently kicked-off with over 50 events opening, and more being added soon. We hope you will register to join us in celebrating our Apraxia Stars this year! We encourage you to share the link with your family and friends to register FOR FREE! By sharing your Walk, you are helping to spread awareness for childhood apraxia of speech, connecting with your community, and assisting Apraxia Kids in raising funds that are so important to helping those who need it most. If you don’t see a Walk in your area, contact Apraxia Kids to learn how you can get involved with bringing a Walk to your community.

We are honored to receive such a rating, exceeding industry standards as a trusted organization to donate to as only a quarter of evaluated charities receive this distinction of 4 stars.
