11 Nov Finding My Voice – a short film by Scotland R. Williams
Scotland R. Williams here. Just wanted to open up about my journey with childhood apraxia of speech. I was diagnosed at age 2, but couldn’t speak until I was 5-years-old. Life was lonely at times. I felt completely isolated from other kids my age, struggled to make friends, and dealt with some pretty harsh bullying. My Mom was my lifeline through it all. My speech finally started improving when I was 16, but the scars from that isolation and bullying still weigh on me.
I recently turned 20 and hit over 1k subscribers on my YouTube channel. That felt like a huge victory, with over 1,000,000 views!
Be inspired – Embrace Scotland’s story of hope as she gives a very real and raw description of her journey on YouTube.
