National Conference FAQ

April 1 to July 14 pricing: 

• Parents/Caregivers/Community Members: $200
• Professionals $300
• Professional Group Rate (3 or more from the same business) $250
• Students $150 (undergraduate or graduate students studying communication disorders, audiology, hearing)

The conference platform will open July 1 for attendees to build their schedule.  By offering a virtual platform, there will be no limitations to session size so you do not need to worry about sessions filling up.

Pre-recorded sessions will be available starting July 1 for attendees to watch and will remain available through August 31.

Recordings made of some sessions presented live will be available after July 14 through August 31.

No. It is recommended that everyone look at the offered sessions and build their schedule in the conference platform before the conference begins so you will know which sessions you want to attend live.

Prior to July 1, please look at the complete conference schedule with session descriptions and speaker bios which will be available on our website in early March at:  https://www.apraxia-kids.org/apraxia-kids-national-conference/ Starting July 1, you will then be able to add the sessions of your choosing to your schedule in the virtual platform.

Each registration is for one person and a login will be assigned for each registration. That login is the only one that can be used to access the platform and only one login on one device can happen at a time. Professionals will need to use their assigned login for all sessions that they want to receive a certificate of attendance for or to have ASHA CEUs filed for them.

Yes, group rates are available! You can register for a group rate directly through Apraxia Kids with groups of 3 or more professionals who are within the same agency, practice, or school district.

Registration fees help pay for the costs associated with a conference of this scale, the conference platform and technical assistance, and offering the highest caliber of speakers. We have surveyed other similar conferences and our registration fees are relatively modest compared to other large national conferences. Feedback from previous conferences tells us that many parents and professionals found it well worth the cost for what they had learned.

Yes! Special times will be set up for people to meet up and chat in groups or one on one.

All handouts will be accessed through the virtual conference platform beginning July 1. 

Yes. Instructions will be provided to those participants who want to receive either a certificate of attendance or have Apraxia Kids file with ASHA for CEUs for any sessions attended and verified through their login on the conference platform. Professionals need to provide their ASHA number during registration and will need to complete online surveys for each session attended for both live-streamed and recorded sessions. 

It depends. All attendees of the conference will receive a Certificate of Attendance. Several professional organizations other than ASHA will accept certificates of attendance from Apraxia Kids as proof of attendance and will offer continuing education credits to its members. You will have to check with your own professional organization in order to determine if this applies to you.

Yes, you would exit out of a session you are in and join the new session you wish to change to.

The SLP-Is-In Booth provides an opportunity for parents and therapists to get advice and guidance from an apraxia specialist during scheduled times during the National Conference. Details regarding sign-up will be shared in June to all registered participants.
