Apraxia Kids Junior Board

Mission:

The mission of the Apraxia Kids Junior Board is to support the overall mission of Apraxia Kids and act as role models for children with apraxia of speech.

Purpose:

• Raise awareness and support Apraxia Kids mission, vision, and daily work
• Is an advisory group to bring new ideas and vibrancy to Apraxia Kids
• Be role models for the apraxia community
• Provide recommendations and feedback for programs and resources for families with an apraxia star.

Commitments:

• Attend quarterly Junior Board meetings.
• Participate and fundraise in their local walk for apraxia
• Represent the organization in a positive manner to the community.
• Agree to serve for a 2 year term.

Oversight:

The Junior Board will be overseen by a liaison from the Apraxia Kids Board of Directors.

Requirements:

• Applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 24 years old
• Applicant must be in good standing with the community.
• Applicant must submit application with one reference letter.
• Willingness to learn, assume leadership and participate fully.
