Therapy consists of individualized, drill-based sessions with highly motivating therapy materials. Sessions are incredibly fast-paced and work to attain a high number of productions of targets that vary in complexity. Each client's productions are intricately tracked and monitored as their speech productions develop and grow.
Parents are involved in every step of the therapy process including continued practice with targets within the home environment and assistance with motivation throughout therapy sessions.
AAC is an incredibly beneficial tool for aiding communication for children with CAS. It becomes an excellent bridge for children as they develop their speech production skills. It also works well to help repair communication breakdowns where children might otherwise become frustrated.
