Overall Treatment Approach:

My therapy is child-led and play based when appropriate. I incorporate the principles of motor learning and DTTC and/or PROMPT techniques to facilitate motor learning. I work with targets that are not only motorically appropriate but are relevant, important, and functional for the child.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are an integral part of the therapy process. Home carryover is essential to progress. I typically work in client's homes or in my office and parents are expected to sit in on sessions and - when appropriate - participate!

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I incorporate a lot of signs with my preverbal clients. Core boards and choice boards are also a type of AAC that I have utilized in the past when needed. It's essential to give a child a way to communicate when verbal output is difficult.
