HOW DOES EDUCATION IMPACT AN INDIVIDUAL CHILD?
We know that speech-language pathologists do not receive formal training on childhood apraxia of speech when they are in school, so we provide opportunities to advance their education on apraxia so that they are better able to treat these children.
The more education and training we can provide, the more qualified SLPs there are. We hope that through taking advantage of our educational opportunities, more and more SLPs all over the country can adequately and appropriately provide treatment to children with apraxia of speech.
