My therapy approach always begins with establishing rapport with the child and their family, as I believe that trust is essential to therapeutic success. Since treatment sessions targeting CAS can be very challenging for children, it is important that they feel safe with their therapist to keep their motivation level high. Once rapport has been established, I work closely with the child’s family to develop a treatment plan, which includes selecting words that are functional, meaningful, and important in your child’s life. The Principles of Motor Learning will be applied in our treatment sessions while making sure that your child’s sessions are as individualized and fun as possible. Treatment activities will be determined by your child’s interests and your family’s priorities.
