Apraxia Kids Junior Board
Mission:
The mission of the Apraxia Kids Junior Board is to support the overall mission of Apraxia Kids and act as role models for children with apraxia of speech.
Purpose:
- Raise awareness and support Apraxia Kids mission, vision, and daily work
- Is an advisory group to bring new ideas and vibrancy to Apraxia Kids
- Be role models for the apraxia community
- Provide recommendations and feedback for programs and resources for families with an apraxia star.
Commitments:
- Attend quarterly Junior Board meetings.
- Participate and fundraise in their local walk for apraxia
- Represent the organization in a positive manner to the community.
- Agree to serve for a 2 year term.
Oversight:
The Junior Board will be overseen by a liaison from the Apraxia Kids Board of Directors.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 24 years old
- Applicant must be in good standing with the community.
- Applicant must submit application with one reference letter.
- Willingness to learn, assume leadership and participate fully.
