I like to use a family-centered approach in therapy, meaning meeting you and your child where you are at. I work closely with families to help establish functional, meaningful goals to help your child communicate his/her wants, needs, and ideas. I constantly seek input on your child's interests and motivators and use those within sessions. Depending on severity level, therapist and family availability I have done intensive speech therapy (e.g. 4x/week) or biweekly therapy. We also believe in collaborating with all members of your child’s team. Given your consent, your therapist will be happy to collaborate with other professionals in order to treat your child as a whole. Those professionals may include but are not limited to: pediatrician, audiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, cardiology, otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat), developmental-behavioral pediatrician, neurology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, early interventionists, teachers, and behavior specialists.
