I provide speech therapy in a fun and supportive environment. I strive to incorporate your child's interests in games, activities, exercises, etc., to ensure engagement and the optimal number of trials per session. I use the Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) method to help your child learn new motor plans. I also incorporate the use of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems to help your child communicate effectively. I strive to nurture their confidence while providing specific feedback. I enjoy collaborating with parents to support children as a team, providing frequent, dedicated, and individualized practice.
I encourage parents to participate in every session, as you play a vital role in your child's success. Nobody knows your child better than you do; this knowledge is integral in selecting targets that will be meaningful for your child in their everyday life. My goal is to educate and empower parents so that they feel comfortable carrying over the activities in the home environment since frequent practice is essential for children with CAS.
I integrate AAC in my therapy session to support children with CAS. Whether it is low-tech or high-tech, AAC can be such a valuable tool to help children communicate effectively and to decrease frustration. I have the most experience with TouchChat, TD Snap, and LAMP software for communication devices.
