If speech is not fun, then you are doing it wrong! My sessions “sneak” in the work while playing and using highly motivating toys and activities. It is so important that I learn what motivates my kids. As much as possible, I try to use toys and physical objects to target a child’s goals. However, picture and sound cards are used when it is deemed more appropriate. I am trained in and utilize the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (K-SLP). Our center also incorporates applied behavior analysis techniques into our speech sessions (such as errorless teaching, backward chaining, shaping, etc.).
