Overall Treatment Approach:

I believe in a play-based approach that makes sessions motivating and fun. In order to help your child be successful, I also incorporate multiple types of cueing to help support word production, including PROMPT and DTTC. While using a play-based approach, we are able to get multiple repetitions and productions of our targeted sounds.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are INTEGRAL in my therapy process! You know your child best and spend more time with him/her than me! Parents help me choose high-frequency and/or important words to the child so we can incorporate them into our targets. I also provide "homework" after each session in case the parents want to practice with their child at home.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I have worked in the schools and a children's hospital that used low- and high-tech options to support CAS. I feel confident in helping your child with AAC needs. If we determine that a high-tech device may be beneficial, I will help you with securing a device.
