Overall Treatment Approach:

Denielle uses principles of motor learning during interactive routines (eg; mealtime, circle time, games time, dressing). Sessions are play based and and include the child's lexicon that can be used across environments. Hands on learning through play routines including core vocabulary. Parent and caregiver carry over is part of your child's treatment plan. Denielle encourages collaboration with parents/teachers and caregivers.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are expected to use core vocabulary during routines. Parent are provided home programs to address goals. Family education in regard to development.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I use both high and low tech AAC and it enhance communication. Low tech AAC such as gestures, signs and pictures can support treatment. High tech AAC such as an iPad with a communication application have too been used to support therapy sessions.
