I am passionate about working with children and helping them all have a voice in this world. Typically, a speech session for a child with CAS consists of working on target words that have been specifically chosen for your child based on the sounds that they are able to produce as well as new sounds. I aim to get as many repetitions as possible of target words and phrases during a session as this is shown to best treat CAS. I do this through interactive activities that motivate your child and while also providing them feedback to facilitate accurate motor planning. During the session I frequently communicate with parents and explain what I am doing and how words or strategies can be incorporated at home.
