The therapy protocol that I use is tailored to the needs of each individual child. I incorporate the Principles of Motor Learning in all of my intervention and I use Evidence Based practice when making clinical decisions. I can use a hybrid of approaches or existing interventions including Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) and Rapid Syllable Transition Training (REST) when appropriate for the child. After the assessment I conduct diagnostic therapy which determines which is the right approach for the client. I then work closely with the parents and the client themselves to determine which intervention targets are appropriate. I engage all of the children in their therapy, whether they are preschoolers or young adults. I firmly believe that the children need to be intrinsically motivated to improve their communication and my therapy reflects this. For this reason, therapy is hard work but fun, engaging, motivating and successful! My intervention is always a partnership between all who are involved.
