Overall Treatment Approach:
My approach is systematic. I develop a list of goals to address with target sounds and syllable shapes. I often build on these words with sequencing and smooth transitioning from one sound to another. I base my goals on my assessments and the child's responses to activities. Every target CV or CVC combination requires multiple attempts and drills.
Parent Involvement:
Parents are present during therapy sessions. They are given target words and activities to work on while at home. I provide them with activities and apps to use.
AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:
I have used various apps with children with CAS. I also have used sign language simultaneously.
