Overall Treatment Approach:

I specialize in early childhood speech sound disorders. I cater my therapy to the child's interests and communication abilities. I use play-based drill to get high numbers of repetitions of specific motor movement patterns, using high-value words so the child sees the impact of therapy as quickly as possible.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are integral in helping choose high-value words and are responsible for practicing homework at least once per day.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I have used high and low tech AAC for children as they begin speech therapy. AAC helps reduce frustration when communication breakdowns do occur. I am comfortable with both low-tech and high-tech speech generating devices.
