I specialize in play therapy. I will create a motivating and fun environment that will encourage each child to feel comfortable attempting language. Apraxia therapy will consist of a lot of repetitions, cueing and practice. My job will be to facilitate these things and then give feedback. Feedback will always be positive, motivating and encouraging. I will use therapy to practice with the child and also to teach the family how to use repetition, cueing, practice and feedback at home. Families are partners in therapy and we will all work together. I will also be using whatever I can to specifically motivate your child by finding out their likes, dislikes and favorite things.
