Overall Treatment Approach:

I specialize in incorporating our speech targets into play-based therapy, where the child is encouraged to communicate and lead play. I work to empower the child to understand their speech goals and increase internal motivation to make progress.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are welcome to join in the therapy sessions, where I will describe treatment strategies, speech observations, and ways to carry-over strategies to the home. I enjoy collaborating with parents on what areas of their child's life would benefit the most from increasing the child's independence and clarity with communication.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I have experience in applying for AAC devices for my patients through their insurance. I also frequently use low-tech AAC via communication boards to help increase communication as we target speech sound goals.
