Parent Involvement:
Parents are part of the goal making progress and can help provide feedback of new target words that are important to their child. If a parent is able to be present in the session then they are welcome to be present. If they are unable to be present then they are encouraged to enter the session near the end to discuss feedback and targets.
AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:
Sign language and invented signs (from the child) have been used to increase communication. Picture Exchange Communication (PECs) and also as high tech as a Tobii Dynavox dynamic tablet have been used to assist children with apraxia communicate.
