Speaker Application Information

Apraxia Kids is seeking submissions for presentations for our 2025 National Conference, July 9-12, that address a full range of topics. The 2025 conference will be entirely online with no in-person component. The theme for the conference is Creating Community Connections and we would like to have a variety of sessions for both family members and professionals.  Presentations should ideally include “how to”, “hands on”, and practical strategies with evidence-based support and include information about working with diverse languages and cultures, age ranges, severities of CAS, and co-occurring challenges. Apraxia Kids encourages collaboration between speakers (including parents and interdisciplinary professionals) in the development of presentations (i.e. co-presenters or small panels [2-4 people]). Please carefully consider what type of session might work best for your proposal. Formats for sessions will be either a lecture with up to 3 total presenters, or a panel discussion which typically has more than 3 presenters and/or contains audience discussions such as looking at case studies or problem solving around an issue. We are also inviting students and researchers to submit proposals for posters presenting results of current research projects.

Because of the previous success of, and the demand for recorded content, the virtual platform will have the ability to record each session as it is presented live between July 9-12.  If you are not able to present live during those 3 days, we invite you to pre-record a session to be made available on demand throughout the conference period. As part of the application process, presenters will be asked to choose 1 of 3 options:

  1. Present the session live on the virtual conference platform between July 9-12 without simultaneously recording it for later viewing virtually during the conference period.
  2. Present the session live on the virtual conference platform between July 9-12 AND allow your session to be recorded simultaneously while you are presenting for later viewing virtually by attendees throughout the conference period.
  3. Do not present live and ONLY make a pre-recording for viewing virtually by attendees throughout the conference period (due June 13, 2024).
