Overall Treatment Approach:

Due to the nature of CAS, the goal of each therapy session is to achieve the maximum amount of practice possible, given the age and attention span of the individual. Therapy sessions are designed to be enjoyable, yet productive, focusing on the individual needs of the client.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are a vital part of the therapy process! Therapy sessions are an instructional time to learn how to best work with your child outside the therapy room to maximize results.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

It is very common to use beginning sign language with individuals just starting therapy to immediately give them a means to communicate to reduce frustration. Picture boards are another option to help with communication. If necessary, high tech AAC is always an option, and I have used the LAMP program with success.
