I believe in a therapy approach that emphasizes the FUN in Functional. It is important to her to get to know my clients and families on a personal level to understand their strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes. I love to integrate developmentally appropriate activities into her therapy sessions, including sensory experiences along with fine and gross motor experiences as well. My goal is to build a connection with the client so they are open and motivated to engage in massed practice of their specific speech targets.

I have extensive training in evidence-based practices for children with Apraxia such as Dynamic Tactile and Temporal Cueing (DTTC) and am certified (level 4) in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT). I implement principles of both approaches into my treatment sessions.

I own and operate, Speech Start, a private, pediatric speech/language/feeding/occupational/academic center with locations in both Fair Haven and Hazlet, NJ.
