PROMPT - target words focus on inhibiting maladaptive motor patterns and promote normal motor patterns beginning at the word/syllable level in the context of functional/play activities that are highly motivating. Provide specific feedback and tactile cuing as needed to improve/normalize production. Maximize trials per session.

Parent Involvement:

Build rapport with parents. Parents observe sessions. Education on nature of disorder, informing of progress, training/education on use of AAC as appropriate. Parents provide feedback on what they notice at home as therapy progresses.
