This lecture explained the principles of motor learning (PML) and how they impact speech therapy for childhood apraxia of speech. Each PML was explored with a description of how it should be used in therapy and what therapy sessions may look like.

    1. Define the principles of motor learning
    2. Describe how PMLs should inform and structure CAS therapy sessions depending on the goal
    3. Explore specific examples of appropriate ways to include PMLs in therapy for CAS
    4. Discuss other components of therapy to examine including cues, target selection, prosody
  2. Discussion (30 Minutes)
    1. Speakers, facilitators, and attendees discussed the session, shared resources and ideas, and asked/answered questions.
