Overall Treatment Approach:

I strive to make my therapy sessions individualized to your child’s specific needs. I complete this by incorporating a variety of evidenced based treatment strategies (e.g., prompt, DTTC, etc.). As well, I like to make therapy fun by including your child’s interests. After each session, I try provide exercises to allow your child to continue practicing at home.

Parent Involvement:

After each session, I try to provide families with exercises to complete at home that target what we worked on in therapy. Parents do not have to come back in to the session. However, they are welcome to join the session to learn about the strategies used to support their child.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

I have used AAC systems along with practicing speech. I feel that AAC systems allow children to express themselves when they may not yet have the motor plan for what they are trying to say. In other words, I use AAC systems to support your child’s speech.
