I first like to establish a welcoming, fun relationship with children and their families so the child has a positive association with myself, my treatment materials, my office, etc. This will help us make more progress in the long run because the child thinks they're just playing or having fun instead of "working". I feel passionately about including the child's family into therapy in order for the child to be most successful. I implement a variety of DTTC and The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (K-SLP) treatment techniques while adjusting therapy to what the child responds best to and their needs. I love to have fun and get to know the children I have the privilege of working with while balancing setting boundaries and getting some work done since it's so important for children with CAS (Childhood Apraxia of Speech) to get a high number or repetitions in per session.
