Therapy approach would include the following: -establish the child's motivators and reinforcement -choose targets on the basis of the child's repertoire of consonants and vowels -provide and fade cues as child becomes more sufficient in production -provide corrections before failure to utilize error-less teaching principles -provide mass practice to distributed practice and block practice to random -within session mix and vary tasks to avoid over-generalization -encourage parents and caregivers to use play in the natural environments that will include target vocabulary and build language functionality with coaching if necessary -ensure retention to maintain motor plans of words to functional expressive language
