I use a very multi-sensory motor based treatment approach in my sessions focusing on each individual child's need. I combine use of a variety of approaches including Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), the tactile cuing from PROMPT, and Dave Hammer's multisensory approach to meet a child's specific needs. I emphasize family presence in my sessions so the are best able to facilitate in their home environment.
Parents are present for the entire or at least a 15 minute portion (pending child's tolerance to parent being in the room) of my session so they can be educated on home programming.
I use AAC to support the act of communication when speech is not accessible or to supplement the speech a child does have.
