Overall Treatment Approach:

I take a customized, child-led approach to treatment! I utilize intervention strategies from a variety of CAS courses, including Dynamic Tactile and Temporal Cueing, PROMPT, and the Kaufman Speech-to-Language Protocol. Using these strategies in combination with your child's unique interests makes therapy fun and motivating, contributing to great results! I love to incorporate movement and play into my sessions in order to keep your child well-regulated and happy.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are encouraged to attend therapy session in order to observe and practice working with their child. Additionally, I provide a list of words and phrases for families to work on each week.

AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:

Another area of strong professional interest for me is in AAC. I have training with use of several high tech systems, such as LAMP, Snap-Core First, and Unity. I have used a combination of high tech, low tech (picture boards), and gestural cues based in American Sign Language to provide an outlet of communication for my clients while they work towards their verbal speech goals.
