Ultimately, we all want our kids to have accessible communication across varied environments with an ease that allows for learning and socioemotional growth.

While my specialization is helping kids acquire verbal speech to their maximum potential, AAC is often an integral component of attaining this goal. Sometimes this is a short term bridge to minimize frustration with pictures, signs and switches, and other times a sophisticated device makes the most sense for short or long term supplementation. I partner with an occupational therapist to best address the needs and capabilities of the whole child when recommending AAC.
