Gretchen is the owner and director of Center4Speech in Mars, PA. Center4Speech is fortunate to have 3 SLP’s, including Gretchen’s husband, John, who have knowledge and experience treating CAS. Gretchen is proud to be a 2016 Apraxia Kids Bootcamp graduate. Gretchen especially enjoys completing motor-speech evaluations. Center4Speech implements principles of motor learning in treatment. We use various techniques/approaches such as DTTC, Kaufman method, and multi-sensory cueing methods, however, every individual responds differently in treatment.
Parent Involvement:
Home carryover is important especially for children with CAS. We like to share multi-sensory cues used in treatment, target practice, and suggestions to help carryover learned skills.
AAC Use/Implementation Expertise:
Center4Speech is comfortable implementing AAC, speech generating devices and low-tech methods, in treatment.
